We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician / Sales Associate to support both retail and long-term care pharmacy operations, with a primary focus on long-term care packaging. Reporting to and working under the direct daily supervision of the pharmacy manager and staff pharmacist, you will process prescriptions, prepare medications through blister or compliance packaging, count and label medications, manage inventory, assist patients, and support daily pharmacy operations. This role also offers opportunities for cross-training in pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities
- Process prescriptions using pharmacy software
- Prepare medications for retail and long-term care patients
- Complete blister or compliance packaging
- Count and label medications according to prescription orders
- Maintain accurate medication and prescription records
- Monitor medication and supply storage and inventory
- Assist patients with prescription pickup, intake, and phone inquiries
- Support the pharmacy manager and staff pharmacist with daily operations under direct supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in pharmacy operations
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program
- State pharmacy technician registration
- Knowledge of pharmacy law and regulations
- Medication inventory management experience
- Prescription processing experience
