We're seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation, sterile compounding, automated dispensing systems, inventory management, and medication distribution across the hospital.

What You'll Do
- Prepare and distribute medications, including unit-dose, batch, and stock medications
- Operate and maintain automated medication distribution systems, including Pyxis and TPN compounders
- Prepare sterile IV admixtures and parenteral solutions using aseptic technique
- Repackage, label, store, and manage pharmaceutical inventory
- Refill automated dispensing cabinets and troubleshoot medication distribution issues
- Assist with controlled substance documentation and medication inventory control
- Restock medication carts, floor stock, specialty trays, and emergency kits
- Process medication charges and maintain accurate pharmacy records
- Prioritize medication orders and communicate urgent needs to pharmacists
- Participate in orientation and training of new pharmacy staff
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations, hospital policies, and National Patient Safety Goals
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and medication distribution processes
- Knowledge of sterile compounding, medication preparation, and pharmaceutical calculations
- Experience with automated pharmacy technology such as Pyxis preferred
- Ability to interpret medication orders and utilize medical terminology accurately
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to patient safety, accuracy, and quality care
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Current California State Board of Pharmacy Technician License
- Ability to obtain an LA City Fire Card within 30 days of hire
- Must maintain all required certifications, mandatory education, and occupational health requirements
