This position assures that pharmacy services comply with policies and procedures of the pharmacy department and state/federal regulations. The Lead Technician should be familiar with all stages of medication use (i.e., purchasing, storage, borrowing/loaning, charging/crediting, dispensing, returns, administration, and disposal) and regulations. Must be competent in general pharmacy operations, IV room, pharmacy automation, narcotic processing and reporting, EPIC processing, records retention & filing, and data analytics/reports. The Lead Technician – Compliance executes competencies for sterile preparation areas, so leadership and embodiment of high standards in the IV room are a must.
