Responsibilities

• Accountable for performing day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities where allowed by law. Ensures efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. Serves as a full-time certified pharmacy technician.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision. Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers within legal and company guidelines.
• Lead the selection, scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians, including making disciplinary decisions.

Customer Experience

• Engage with customers and patients, resolve complaints, and respond to inquiries to ensure a positive experience. Develop strong relationships and proactively offer services to enhance healthcare delivery.

Operations

• Assist pharmacists in patient care activities, including registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, and health screenings, where legally permitted. Delegate non-clinical tasks, ensure compliance, and manage pharmacy workflow and inventory.

People & Performance Management

• Manage technician performance, including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions. Ensure licensure and certification compliance, and support team development.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintain PTCB certification, pursue ongoing education, and seek professional growth opportunities.

Communication

• Communicate effectively with the pharmacy team and participate in meetings and updates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification (excluding Puerto Rico).
• At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital settings.
• Fluent in English (excluding Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership or management experience.
• Previous Walgreens employment with high performance ratings.
