Overview
A well-established, independent acute care health system in Southeastern Virginia is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacy Manager to lead a large, high-functioning hospital pharmacy team. This leadership role oversees ~40 direct reports (pharmacists and technicians) within a 300+ bed hospital and partners closely with the Director of Pharmacy to drive operational excellence, medication safety, and strategic initiatives. The department operates within a hybrid model using EPIC and Pyxis in a modern, recently renovated pharmacy space.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a pharmacy team of ~40 direct reports (pharmacists and technicians) in a 300+ bed hospital.
- Collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy to drive operational excellence, medication safety, and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee daily operations in a hybrid EPIC/Pyxis environment within a modern facility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Pharmacy required; PharmD or Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience that includes leadership or management responsibilities.
- Incoming PGY2 Pharmacy Administration Residents will be given serious consideration.
