Pharmacy Manager

Position Type: Temporary or Temp-to-Hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday, day shift. On call/weekends may be required.

Pay Rate: $75.00 – $83.00 / hour (Dependent on Experience)

Position Overview

Rx relief is seeking an experienced, leadership-minded Pharmacy Manager to oversee clinical and operational pharmacy functions near Sparks, NV. In this role, you will serve as the designated Pharmacy Manager (PIC) , ensuring regulatory compliance, managing sterile IV compounding protocols, and directing daily patient care workflows in an acute setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the official Pharmacy Manager (PIC), maintaining full compliance with Nevada State Board of Pharmacy rules and federal regulations.
• Oversee daily inpatient pharmacy operations, including clinical monitoring, order verification, and distribution.
• Supervise sterile IV compounding processes, ensuring adherence to USP standards (including USP <797> and <800>).
• Direct, mentor, and schedule pharmacy staff to maintain smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
• Participate in on-call and weekend backup rotations as needed to support facility operations.

Required Qualifications

• Education & Licensure: Active, unrestricted Nevada Pharmacist License. Must be eligible and designated to hold PIC status.
• Clinical Experience: Direct experience in a hospital, inpatient, or Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) setting with a strong background in sterile IV compounding.
• Preferred Experience: 2+ years of inpatient hospital, LTACH, or acute care pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Leadership: Prior experience acting as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) required; demonstrated pharmacy leadership experience strongly preferred.
