Job Summary and Qualifications

• The Manager Pharmacy assists the Director of Pharmacy in establishing, implementing, and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures to meet regulatory and organizational requirements and standards of practice.
• This position maintains direct responsibility for staff pharmacists and conducts their annual performance e***luations. The Manager serves as a liaison to other departments and assists as otherwise requested by the Director of Pharmacy.
• The Manager provides managerial support to the Director of Pharmacy and other Pharmacy Department Leadership through day-to-day departmental leadership and coordination of pharmacy workflow.
• They will coordinate and supervise the daily activities of Pharmacy staff delegating assignments as necessary in accordance with established policies and procedures and to maintain department productivity.
• This position is responsible for helping to create a patient and customer focused department in support of the delivery of exceptional patient care.
• The Manager will also be responsible for attracting and developing a team of highly capable, committed supervisors and staff through recruiting and interviewing candidates that have a passion for patient and customer centered care.

Qualifications

• Required - Hospital Pharmacy Management Experience (1-2 years minimum) at a senior management level position.
• Required - License in good standing as a Pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Hospital Pharmacy Management Experience (3-5+ years) in an acute care

Education

• Required Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Preferred Ad***nced degree in pharmacy management or administration.
