We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with leadership experience, strong long-term care (LTC) pharmacy knowledge, and expertise in psychiatric pharmacotherapy, particularly within adolescent behavioral health populations.
The Pharmacy Manager will provide operational leadership, supervise pharmacy workflows, support staff development, and ensure exceptional patient care and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily pharmacy operations and ensure efficient workflow management
- Maintain compliance with Georgia, Mississippi, and Federal pharmacy regulations
- Lead, mentor, and support pharmacy staff
- Oversee medication dispensing accuracy and quality assurance processes
- Resolve complex billing issues, insurance rejections, and reimbursement challenges
- Participate in pharmacist rotation and on-call coverage schedules
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and care teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Utilize pharmacy software systems and electronic medication administration records (eMAR)
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives and regulatory audits
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a pharmacist in a community pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of retail pharmacy billing, including rejection resolution and advanced troubleshooting
- Open availability Monday through Saturday
- Willingness to participate in rotating on-call schedules
- Typing speed of at least 40 WPM
- Proficiency with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Exceptional attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of pharmacist experience, including at least 1 year in an Independent or Long-Term Care (LTC) Pharmacy
- Prior pharmacy management or supervisory experience
- Experience using FrameworkLTC software
- Strong knowledge of Georgia and Federal pharmacy laws within an LTC environment
- Experience with eMAR systems
- Advanced understanding of psychiatric pharmacotherapy, especially adolescent mental health treatment
