Hours: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Must-Haves
- Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Idaho
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Minimum of five (5) years of hospital pharmacy experience, including at least three (3) years of director‑level experience
Primary Duties
- Coordinate pharmacy services through active communication with medical staff, nursing staff, and other hospital staff, and participate in committees: Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Opiate Stewardship, and Medication Safety.
- Review, revise, monitor, and institute policies and procedures to maintain and improve pharmaceutical care delivery.
- Prepare annual budget, project budget increases for new therapeutic agents, and monitor operations to stay within budgetary guidelines.
- Administer personnel functions including performance evaluations, salary actions, counseling/disciplinary action, staffing schedules, and staff development.
- Ensure proper records and documentation are maintained as required by law and hospital policy (Narcotic control, tax‑free alcohol documents, purchasing and receiving documents, quality assurance documents, JCAHO documents).
- Assist with distributive and clinical functions within the department.
- Coordinate and adhere to inventory management and supply chain initiatives in collaboration with Material Management.
Minimum Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Idaho
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of five (5) years of hospital pharmacy experience, including at least three (3) years of director‑level experience
