Pharmacy Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Clinical Specialist, $10,000 Bonus

The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist II recognizes specialized training and experience in a service line or patient population. In addition to providing medication order assessment, clinical and consultative services, Clinical Specialist II are expected to take responsibility for establishing and expanding clinical services in the area of practice.

• Develop medication protocols, order sets, perform medication utilization reviews, and lead performance improvement projects
• Actively develop and present educational topics, staff development programs, and act as a preceptor to students and residents in the specialty area
• Provide mentorship, act as a clinical resource for staff and other healthcare providers in the area of expertise
• Represent pharmacy in committees and collaborative meetings
• Mentor staff, participate in research, formal presentations, and publications

Estimated salary range for this position is $122,475.25 - $159,217.83 per year, depending on experience.

Qualifications:

• Degrees: Doctorate
• Licenses & Certifications: Registered Pharmacist
• Additional Qualifications: Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.). If no residency training, must have 8 years of clinical practice experience in the area of specialty and Board Certification.
• PGY1 residency with 5 years of practice experience in the area of specialty and BPS required
• PGY2 residency with 3 years of practice experience in the area of specialty and BPS required (PGY1=3 years of experience and PGY2=2 additional years)
• Minimum Required Experience: Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.). If no residency training, must have 8 years of clinical practice experience in the area of specialty and Board Certification
