We are seeking a PRN Pharmacist to join our team.

Overview

The Vibra Hospital of SE Michigan – Taylor Campus is a 40‑bed Critical Care Hospital located in Taylor, MI. The facility provides acute care services for patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries and offers specialized critical care for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning.

Responsibilities

Responsible for filling and dispensing medication orders, including proper handling, usage, and storage of drugs in the pharmacy. Maintain standards and translate policies and procedures into daily operations. Serve as an information resource to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug‑related information. Coordinate with medical staff and nursing to deliver quality and cost‑effective drug therapies. Participate in the hospital Antibiotic Stewardship Program. Demonstrate competency in providing pharmaceutical care to patients of all age groups. Provide leadership in the absence of the Director as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor of Science Degree from a College/School of Pharmacy.
  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state of employment.

Additional Qualifications / Skills

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
  • Experience with pharmacokinetics and anticoagulation preferred.
  • TPN experience preferred.
  • Current, valid and active BLS and ACLS certifications from a Vibra‑approved vendor preferred. Previous acute care experience preferred.
  • Automated pharmacy dispensing.
  • IV Laminar flow hood.
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred. Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
