Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will compound and dispense medications for patients undergoing inpatient and outpatient care. You will oversee the daily operations of the Pharmacy as well as all Pharmacy Technicians and other support members.
- Provide clinical expertise in the service line as well as additional clinical programs as assigned.
- Evaluate medication orders and dispense accordingly.
- Maintain and evaluate automated dispensing processes.
- Actively participate in the provision of training and mentorship within the peer group and cross‑campus pharmacists in a particular service line, including pharmaceutical care and disease‑state management.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team for a particular service line and provide backup support to service lines where appropriate and as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from an ACPE‑accredited school of pharmacy.
- Licensed Pharmacist through the Virginia Board of Health Professions.
- Previous inpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
