Responsibilities
- Maintain a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
- Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast‑paced environment.
- Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
- Correctly inform and instruct patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
- Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
- Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
- Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
- Current state licensure required.
- BLS certification if required by the state.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharm D or BS Pharm, plus an advanced degree or completion of a hospital pharmacy residency.
