Pharmacist at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington
The Pharmacist is responsible for daily operations, personnel management, and regulatory compliance of pharmacy services for the facility when on duty without the Director being present.
Responsibilities
- Establish effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors.
- Communicate the needs of the department to the Director and collaborate with medical staff regarding prescriptive issues and therapy recommendations.
- Support the management team in meeting facility goals.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy. PharmD preferred.
Licensure / Certification
- Current Texas Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license
- IV Certification (ACPE certified)
- BLS
Required Experience
- Two (2) to five (5) years hospital pharmacy experience
- Demonstrate competent knowledge of the development needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission and Medicare standards affecting pharmacy.
- Must possess ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with all types of personnel, medical staff, and the public.
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions.
- Must have ability to act as liaison between personnel and management.
