Job Description:

Exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) in a vibrant retail pharmacy setting!
Work Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, and enjoy a great work-life balance.

Lead the pharmacy operations with accountability and excellent communication skills.
Ensure the safe, compliant, and effective functioning of the pharmacy under Colorado and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Fill and verify prescriptions while submitting third-party claims.
Consult with physicians, nurses, patients, and staff on medication inquiries and formulary options.
Monitor medication storage, distribution, and usage; track inventory levels and expiration dates.
Document and report medication errors to support quality and safety efforts.
Administer immunizations and maintain required records and protocols.
Support credentialing activities related to pharmacy operations and payer participation.

Qualifications

PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy or equivalent experience.
Active Colorado Pharmacist license in good standing is required.
CPR certification and immunization certification are a must.
Preferred experience in retail pharmacy practice, operations, reimbursement, and inventory control.
Familiarity with rural healthcare or a strong interest in rural practice is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods; some bending and stretching.
Proficient use of computer and office equipment.
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
Fast-paced work environment.
