Summary
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for overseeing the pharmacy's operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations, and managing financial and personnel functions to maintain optimal performance. They also provide patient care services, including counseling and training pharmacy associates, while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and legal compliance.

$52.00- $74.00
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Registers with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
- Oversees maintaining the pharmacy in good standing with all federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
- Responsible for the entire operation of the pharmacy department to achieve expected pharmacy service levels, financial goals including budget, payroll, third‑party administration, scheduling, and inventory management to promote optimal financial viability.
- Manages pharmacy support personnel functions within the pharmacy department, including job performance and review.
- Guides and trains pharmacy associates and holds them accountable for complying with regulatory and company policies.
- Ensures completion of company‑required training by all pharmacy associates.
- Participates in patient‑centered services including immunization, MTM, and wellness programs.
- Counsels patients and medical providers regarding drug nature, use, dosage, interactions, and side effects.
- Maintains and participates in continuous quality improvement programs to ensure patient safety.
- Maintains department facilities consistent with legal and company standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed and registered pharmacist in good standing within the state of practice.
- Immunization certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum age 21 years.
- Must submit to DL monitoring.
Education And Experience
- 5‑year Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy.
- Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively: verbal, written, and electronic.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage others.
- Ability to assign, prioritize, and evaluate the work of others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Physical Requirements
- Walking: frequent 3–5 hours.
- Standing: constant 5–8 hours.
- Grasping/finger movement and dexterity – left/right hands occasional 1–3 hours.
- Bending: occasional 1–3 hours.
- Twisting: occasional 1–3 hours.
- Pivoting: occasional 1–3 hours.
- Squatting/kneeling: occasional 1–3 hours.
- Pushing/pulling: occasional 1–3 hours up to 25 lbs.
- Lifting: occasional 1–3 hours up to 25 lbs.
