A compounding pharmacist position is available on a contract-to-hire basis, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic pharmacy with a focus on personalized patient care. This role involves preparing both sterile and non-sterile compounded medications while working closely with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
Schedule and Hours:
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Hours: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Every third Saturday: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Includes a 30-minute lunch break
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers to tailor pharmaceutical care to individual patient needs
- Prepare and dispense compounded prescriptions following USP 795, 797, and 800 standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy inventory
- Offer expert pharmaceutical advice to patients for optimal health outcomes
- Assist in training and supervising pharmacy technicians
- Valid pharmacist license in North Carolina
- 1 to 2 years pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates with a passion for compounding are encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 compounding standards
- Experience with retail pharmacy operations and prescription processing
- Familiarity with pharmacy software (training on PK system similar to QS1 will be provided)
- Based in High Point, NC, with the pharmacy located in the Greensboro area
