Responsibilities:
- Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and dosing
- Prepare and dispense medications in compliance with regulatory and quality standards
- Verify proper filling of MedBoxes
- Counsel patients regarding medication use, potential side effects, and interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, on treatment plans
- Perform medication reconciliation to maintain accurate medication histories
- Manage medication therapy for patients with chronic conditions
- Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications
- Supervise pharmacy technicians in prescription filling, inventory management, and operational tasks
- Maintain precise patient records and documentation
- Ensure strict adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
- Licensed Pharmacist with active registration to practice
- Experience working in a clinical or community pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
- Ability to lead and supervise pharmacy support staff effectively
