This 13-week contract begins ASAP, providing 40 hours per week with shifts scheduled between 6 AM and 7 PM, including every 3rd or 4th Saturday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth operations
- Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff for optimal patient care
- Apply pharmacokinetics knowledge to support medication management
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
- Support chemotherapy handling as needed, enhancing patient treatment plans
- Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license required
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience essential
- Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred
- Exposure to chemotherapy protocols is a significant advantage
- Strong communication and teamwork skills within a clinical environment
