A community hospital located on Cape Cod is seeking a skilled night shift Pharmacist to support their pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care. This opportunity is ideal for a Massachusetts-licensed pharmacist with hospital experience who is ready to work a consistent night schedule in a supportive environment.
Location:
- Cape Cod, approximately 70 miles south of Boston
- 200-bed community hospital setting
- Night shift: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Work pattern: 7 days on, 7 days off
- Perform medication order verification efficiently and accurately
- Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
- Utilize pharmacokinetics knowledge for patient-specific medication management
- Consult and communicate effectively with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapies
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated medication dispensing system
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license is required
- Proven hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is a strong plus
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills to work seamlessly with clinical teams
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
