Key Responsibilities Include
- Verifying medication orders, dispensing pharmaceuticals, and ensuring medication safety through chart review, patient counseling, and dose adjustments.
- Delivering clinical consultations with evidence-based information and collaborating with healthcare teams to promote safe, cost-effective pharmacotherapy.
- Overseeing medication dispensing processes and supervising pharmacy technicians and interns.
- Precepting pharmacy students and residents, supporting educational development.
- Maintaining a constant focus on safety and compliance with regulations.
Qualifications And Skills
- Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D or Bachelor of Pharmacy) from an accredited institution.
- Current pharmacist licensure in applicable states.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and repetitive movements, along with proficiency in electronic medical records and data entry.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of employment.
