Location: UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital, Longmont, CO

Department: LPH Pharmacy

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Day and Evening Rotation

Pay: $59.80 - $83.72 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
  • State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification and/or relevant licensure/certification as determined at position level.

Responsibilities

  • Provides top‑of‑scope pharmacy support utilizing evidence‑based protocols and best practices to promote safety at the point of care.
  • Values and effectively partners with multidisciplinary team to achieve care outcomes.
  • Prioritizes wellness, patient perspective, and evidence‑based practice.
  • Models proficiency through precepting and mentoring those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth.
  • Welcomes new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment.
  • Contributes proactively to solutions to secure safety and quality at the point of care.
  • Ensures medications are prescribed, accurately dispensed, and administered according to best practices.
  • Provides drug information and counseling to patients and caregivers regarding medication use, accurate dosage, potential side effects, and administration instructions.
  • Stays current with updated medication formularies, new drug therapies, treatment protocols, and emerging medical research through continuous professional development and clinical education.
  • Communicates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate collaborative care and ensure optimal outcomes.
