Pharmacist PositionThe Pharmacist is responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations in a high-volume setting, ensuring accurate dispensing of medications, managing staff, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. This role requires the ability to operate independently while supporting both retail and long-term care pharmacy services.Key Responsibilities:Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescription medicationsOversee daily pharmacy operations across retail and long-term care servicesSupervise and direct pharmacy staff to ensure efficient workflowManage inventory, ordering, and medication stock levelsEnsure accurate billing and claims processingProvide clinical support including chart reviews and medication recommendationsMaintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulationsCounsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactionsMonitor and manage high prescription volumes effectivelyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environmentRequired Qualifications:Active Pharmacist license in the state of practiceStrong knowledge of retail and long-term care pharmacy operationsAbility to work independently in a high-volume settingExperience managing staff and pharmacy workflowsStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and leadership skillsPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience in combo pharmacies (retail + long-term care)Experience with inventory management and pharmacy billing systemsStrong clinical knowledge and experience with chart reviewsWork Environment:Retail and long-term care pharmacy settingsHigh-volume operations with large staff oversightSchedule: Typically 7 days on / 7 days off (flexible)
