A Pharmacist is needed for a long-term acute care (LTAC) facility located in Bedford, VA. This opportunity offers a rewarding experience in a small hospital setting, managing the care of approximately 10 patients per day. The position requires an immediate start and is scheduled for 13 weeks or more, with a Monday through Friday day-shift schedule.
Responsibilities:

• Oversee medication dispensing and review for accuracy and compliance within the LTAC facility
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient medication therapy
• Monitor patient medication regimens and adjust as necessary according to clinical guidelines
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of pharmaceutical activities
• Participate in quality assurance and safety programs within the hospital setting

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Virginia Pharmacist license required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
