Float Pharmacist | Ashland, Kentucky

Schedule & Hours

• Offer letters will be based on a 32-hour/week schedule.
• New hires are expected to work 40 hours per week, including rotating weekends.
• Standard operating hours:
• Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Sunday: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Many locations are currently operating on adjusted hours due to staffing needs.
• Candidates must be comfortable opening and closing the pharmacy.
• Schedules are provided in 4-week blocks, typically 1 week in advance.
• Flexibility is important. Scheduling is handled store by store, and the team can work with candidates on their availability when possible.

Additional Compensation

• Employees receive an additional $30/hour premium for hours worked over 160 hours within a 4-week scheduling block.

Relocation & Licensing

• Relocation candidates are welcome.
• Candidates who do not currently hold a Kentucky pharmacist license may still be considered if they have a clear intent to obtain one.

New Graduates

• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Preference is generally for Staff Pharmacist and Float Pharmacist positions.
• New grads may also be considered for Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) roles if they are a strong fit.

PTO & Benefits

• 15 days PTO
• 4 personal days
• PTO increases to:
• 4 weeks after 10 years
• 5 weeks after 18 years
• Employees can purchase up to 5 additional PTO days per year.

Float Pharmacist Roles

• Float pharmacists will generally remain within their assigned geographic area.
• Pharmacists will not be required to float outside of their designated area.

Pharmacy Staffing

• Most locations are fully staffed with pharmacy technicians.
• Every store has a Senior Technician.
• Pharmacy technicians are also trained and authorized to administer vaccinations.

Requirements

• Pharmacist license or intent to obtain a Kentucky license
• Immunization certification required
• BLS certification required
