Position Overview

A leading academic health system is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to support a pediatric acute care pharmacy team. This role offers the opportunity to work with neonatal, infant, pediatric, and adolescent patient populations in a collaborative hospital environment.

The pharmacist will support medication management, order verification, clinical pharmacy services, and sterile compounding operations while collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Rotating Day & Evening Shifts

  Weekend coverage required approximately every fourth weekend

Key Responsibilities

  Review and verify medication orders for hospitalized patients

  n

• n

  Provide clinical dosing recommendations and medication management support

  n
n
• n

  Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams

  n

• n

  Ensure safe medication dispensing and distribution

  n

• n

  Support IV medication preparation and sterile compounding activities

  n
n
• n

  Monitor medication therapy for safety and effectiveness

  n

• n

  Utilize automated medication dispensing systems and pharmacy technology

Ideal Background

n
• n

  Active Pharmacist license

  n
n
• n

  Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required

  n

• n

  Acute care experience required

  n
n
• n

  PGY1 Residency or equivalent inpatient experience preferred

  n

• n

  Pediatric or children's hospital experience preferred

  n
n
• n

  Experience with sterile compounding and IV preparation preferred

  n

• n

  Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
