PHARM TECHNICIAN

Title: Pharmacy Technician
Duration: 3 months contract + Contract to Hire
Location: Pine Brook, NJ 07058
Shift: M-F 6 am to 2:30 pm (Overtime or weekend work may be required based on business needs)
Essential Responsibilities
Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will:
Retrieve medications from inventory and prepare prescription orders for pharmacist verification
Count, label, and package medications accurately in accordance with pharmacy procedures
Process prescription orders efficiently to meet production and quality standards
Assist with packing and shipping completed orders to patients
Maintain inventory accuracy, including removing outdated medications and replenishing stock
Monitor and support automated dispensing units and workflows
Maintain appropriate supply levels at workstations (vials, caps, labels, packaging materials)
Support maintenance of par levels for pre-packaged auxiliary items
Perform occasional outbound patient calls for order inquiries and customer service support
Work simultaneously within multiple computer systems to document activities and provide information
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including HIPAA
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
Perform additional operational duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (or higher)
Active and unrestricted New Jersey Pharmacy Technician License
Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in pharmacy operations or prescription data entry
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
Experience working in a mail-order or fulfillment pharmacy setting
Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements)
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Experience working with automated pharmacy systems
