Job Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, manages programs, staff, clinical services and fiscal processes of a local public health department. Identifies community partners, providers and agencies and develops relationships to further public health efforts in the community.
Additional But Not Limited To
- Supervise, guides &/or instructs work assignments to subordinate staff.
- Assist DND with training of new nurses
- Execute Protocol Training
- Oversee Quality Assurance activities in the Health Departments
- Oversee CLIA lab audits
- Coordinate coverage of nurses during Public Health emergencies
- Coordinate outreach events
- Be responsible for Quality Assurance activities in the Health Departments
- Oversee lab processes
- Coordinate coverage of nurses during Public Health emergencies
- Coordinate outreach events
- Knows vaccine schedules for children and adults
- Gives correct needed vaccines to children and adults
- Gives vaccines needed for school attendance along with correct certifications
- Conducts audits for school and day cares
- Conducts scoliosis screenings for schools
- Conducts hearing/vision/dental screenings needed for school attendance
- Cross-trains to TB, Child Health, Family Planning and IDC clinics
- Other duties as assigned

As an employee of D2PH, in the event of an identified emergency you may be required, as a term and condition of employment, to assist in meeting the emergency responsibilities of the department.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification; or two (2) years of experience at the lower-level PH Registered Nurse Spv (HCP193) or position equivalent.
