These are in-home visits for dogs and cats - not a dog-walking-only gig. Each stop runs about 25 to 30 minutes: food and fresh water, litter boxes scooped, a potty break or walk, medications when needed, and genuine time spent hanging out with the animals so they are not alone all day.
We are looking for people who can say they are AVAILABLE mornings, middays, and evenings. Availability is not the same as working all three shifts daily. Middays are the slot we struggle to fill, and clients specifically want the same person arriving at the same time while they are away at work.
Assignments come to you one at a time, and you reply YES or NO. Your schedule stays yours.
We have run this company as a W-2 employer since 2003, so you are on payroll, not a 1099 contractor. Sitters get assignments within roughly 5 miles of home, so north Arlington sitters stay in north Arlington.
Pay starts at $25 an hour.
