Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a PET/CT Technologist to our team at Baptist Downtown located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time Day Shift opportunity working Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm , with an on-call rotation every 3 months and 1 holiday call per year.

This PET Technologist will be responsible for providing patients with radioactive medication and operating imaging technology to track the radiation within the patient's body. Their duties include sterilizing syringes, preparing patients for a scan, and processing image reports that indicate the presence of disease.

This PET Technologist will be responsible for the following:

Performing high-quality diagnostic procedures.

Knowledge of the State of (and adherence to) Florida rules and regulations regarding Radiation Control/Radioactive Materials.

Protecting patients, self, and others from unnecessary/excessive radiation exposure.

Complying with mandatory education and health requirements.

The PET Technologist will be located at Baptist South.

Vocational School

  • Radioactive Material Experience
  • Experience working in a hospital setting
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CNMT) - NMTCB
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
  • Licensed Nuclear Medical Technologist - ARRT
  • Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine - ARRT
