In this role, you'll design and deliver safe, effective, and engaging workouts inspiring others to move, grow, and thrive.This part-time position offers flexibility with the opportunity to train multiple sessions per week.

Trainers will work at both the Summit YMCA and Berkeley Heights YMCA during branch operating hours.You May Be the Right Candidate If You:Hold a current NCCA Personal Trainer CertificationAre friendly, professional, and knowledgeableCan engage and motivate a diverse group of peopleHave a genuine passion for health, wellness, and helping others succeedThrive working both independently and as part of a teamKey Responsibilities:Develop and deliver individualized training programs tailored to members' goals, abilities, and preferencesProvide safe, effective instruction and proper exercise demonstrationsMotivate and encourage members through positive reinforcement and accountabilityMaintain accurate client records and update schedules in MindBodyRespond promptly to new client inquiries and training leadsModel professionalism in appearance and conduct; uphold YMCA values and policiesEnsure a safe and welcoming environment by following all safety and emergency proceduresMaintain current certifications and attend required staff meetings and trainingsSalary & Benefits:Compensation range for this role is $28.00 - 45.00/hour, based on education & experience. No matter who you are or where you're from, we believe that we're stronger when we come together.Qualifications:A valid national Personal Trainer Certification (ACSM,NASM, NSCA or ACE) and/ or a degree in exercise related field.Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology.Ability to properly demonstrate correctly demonstrate the required movements associated with training.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Be knowledgeable about health & fitness field including current trends and safety issues.About the Summit Area YMCA:We were founded as the Young Men's Christian Association in 1886, but today, we are The Y.
