Personal Lines Account Manager
Our client is a growing independent insurance agency seeking an experienced Personal Lines
Account Manager to join its team. This position is focused primarily on servicing an established personal lines book of business.
Responsibilities
- Manage and service an existing book of personal lines accounts, including home, auto, umbrella, rental properties, and other personal insurance products
- Handle policy changes, endorsements, billing questions, vehicle and driver changes, mortgagee/lienholder updates, ID cards, evidence of insurance, and policy documentation
- Review renewals and identify accounts that require attention or additional follow-up
- Remarketing accounts when appropriate and communicate with insurance carriers and underwriters
- Explain coverage, policy options, and changes clearly to clients
- Maintain consistent communication with clients by phone, email, and text
- Identify potential coverage gaps and opportunities to round out accounts with additional products
- Work closely with producers on cross-selling and account-development opportunities
- Assist with certificates, endorsements, and general servicing of small commercial accounts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and policy information within the agency management system
- Take ownership of client issues and follow through from start to finish
- Provide a high level of personal service while maintaining organization and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in an independent insurance agency preferred
- Strong personal lines insurance experience required
- Active Pennsylvania P&C license preferred
- Experience with an independent agency environment is a plus
- Small commercial insurance experience is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through independently
- Comfortable working with carrier websites, agency management systems, and other insurance technology
- Ability to recognize coverage needs and identify opportunities for additional business
- Experience with EPIC and/or comparative rating systems is a plus
- Dependable, accountable, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities
- Team-oriented approach with the ability to work closely with agency owners and producers
