Work model: In-office followed by hybrid (2 days remote per week after 90 days) (candidate must be Houston-based)

Responsibilities

  • Manage personal injury cases from filing through resolution (trial or settlement)
  • Try a case
  • Advise clients, consult with experts, and build a case strategy early
  • Review expert reports
  • Communicate directly with opposing counsel and insurance carriers
  • Prepare and respond to discovery, motions, and pleadings
  • Represent clients at hearings, trials, mediations, and depositions
  • Manage case timelines and deadlines in coordination with your support staff
  • Be a skilled negotiator
  • Be skilled in depositions

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of personal injury COMMERCIAL LITIGATION experience - this is required, not preferred. Personal injury defense attorneys are welcome to apply.
  • Trial experience
  • Reside in the Greater Houston area. This is not a remote position.
  • Active Texas Bar license in good standing
  • Graduated from an accredited law school
  • Deep knowledge of personal injury law, civil litigation, and commercial cases
  • Strong drafting, research, negotiation, and client communication skills
  • A collaborative mindset - we operate as a team and want attorneys who are invested in building something great together
