Respiratory Therapist

This role provides comprehensive respiratory care to patients in acute, emergency, and critical care settings. The therapist collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and supports new graduates in their professional development. Key Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and ventilator support
• Perform patient assessments, monitor respiratory status, and respond to changes in condition
• Manage mechanical ventilators and assist with airway management
• Conduct arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results
• Provide emergency respiratory care in ER and ICU settings
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and treatments
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Active Arizona Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required

Preferred Skills:

• Acute care experience
• Emergency room and intensive care unit support
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and airway management
• Proficiency in arterial blood gas analysis
• Familiarity with critical access hospital environments
• PALS certification
