TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Dermatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time permanent opportunity with a growing rural health dermatology practice in North Carolina. This position focuses exclusively on medical dermatology and offers the opportunity to build long-term patient relationships while expanding access to dermatologic care in underserved communities.

Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dermatologic evaluations and full-body skin exams.
- Diagnose and manage: Acne, Eczema, Psoriasis, Rosacea, Dermatitis, Fungal infections, Rashes, Skin cancers, and precancerous lesions.
- Perform dermatologic procedures including: Shave biopsies, Punch biopsies, Excisional biopsies, Cryotherapy, Lesion removal, Wound care management.
- Interpret dermatopathology and diagnostic testing.
- Develop treatment plans collaboratively with supervising physicians.
- Prescribe medications and therapies.
- Provide patient education on skin health and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
- Active North Carolina NP or PA license.
- National certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of dermatology experience (post clinical rotations) under a Board-Certified Dermatologist.
- Strong procedural and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Must be enrolled or have prior enrollment in Medicare/Medicaid.
- DCNP Certification or eligible to obtain within 12 months of hire.
Note: The Dermatology Nursing Certification Board requires 3,000 hours of dermatology nurse practitioner experience within the past 3 years to sit for the DCNP exam. Only dermatology-specific NP hours count toward this requirement. Hours earned through a formal dermatology NP residency/fellowship or supervised dermatology practice do apply. General primary care or non-dermatology specialty experience does not count toward DCNP eligibility.
Equivalent dermatology-focused certification for Physician Assistants.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with biopsies, cryotherapy, and lesion removal.
- Familiarity with dermatoscopy and EMR systems.
- Interest in rural healthcare and continuity of care.
- Prior independent dermatology practice experience strongly preferred.
