Perm Placement - CT TechA CT technologist, also known as a CT scan technician, uses a CT scanner to take pictures of a patient's internal organs and tissues. They work in hospitals, clinics, and other facilities.Participates in continuing education and learning experiences to enhance and maintain current knowledge and skills for continued competence. Pulls files for upcoming exams as needed.QualificationsBLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved requiredAdditional Certification/Licensure RequirementsAll agency and non-hospital-based applicants must have Virginia Radiologic Technologist license application submitted prior to hire and licensure obtained within 90 days of hire.New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.Knowledge of human growth and development and competence in providing Radiologic services for patients of all ages, including neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric requiredKnowledge of computer technology requiredKnowledge of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology requiredExcellent communication skills to relate to physician, peers and patients on a professional and technical level requiredAbility to perform general diagnostic radiography/fluoroscopy and portable radiography examination and procedures on patients of all ages requiredAbility to maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques requiredAbility to work with Radiography students with varying skill levels requiredAbility to work in a stressful environment requiredAbility to operate CT scan equipment with attention to detail requiredMust be able for on-call rotation and call back to the hospital requiredMust be able to work weekends/holidays and available for all shifts as neededCriminal Background Checks3rd Party Background CheckVA State Police or WV State Background and Fingerprinting (WV Cares) (applicable state)Physical DemandsWork Function/Activity: Sedentary to Medium Physical Demand (10 to 50 lbs)Frequent hand washing required.Frequent standing, walking.
