Job Responsibilities:
- Provide pediatric inpatient ward coverage in a 30-bed unit with an average daily census of 16-18 patients
- Perform newborn nursery examinations
- Conduct Emergency Department pediatric consultations
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary pediatric care team, including subspecialists and intensivists
- Work closely with a 16-bed PICU staffed by dedicated pediatric intensivists
- Participate in teaching and education of pediatric residents and medical students
- Engage in an academic environment through affiliation with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine
- Deliver care in a Level II Trauma Center serving northern Nevada and northeastern California
- Ensure high-quality, patient-centered pediatric care aligned with organizational standards
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
- Possession or willingness to obtain a Nevada Medical License
- Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) required
- Clean malpractice and medical license history highly preferred
- Willingness to relocate if not currently residing in the area
- DEA (must be obtained prior to start) required
- CSR/CDS (must be obtained prior to start) required
- Nevada Medical License (or eligibility to obtain)
- Board Certification status
- DEA legality to practice
