Periodontist

Overview

Part-time periodontist position in Killeen, TX (2 days per month).

This role is offered by Benevis, a provider focused on expanding access to affordable dental care for underserved communities. The position allows practice flexibility, with travel into El Paso welcomed and supported.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat periodontal and peri-implant disease.
• Provide full-scope periodontal and implant surgery, including pocket reduction and osseous surgery, soft-tissue grafting and flap procedures, crown lengthening, implant placement, and grafting and sinus augmentation when indicated.
• Manage a mix of surgical cases, consults, and follow-ups based on patient need.
• Collaborate with general dentists, hygienists, and assistants to support efficient care delivery and case acceptance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree.
• Completion of a CODA-accredited Periodontics residency.
• Active Texas dental license.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (preferred).
• Experience providing periodontal and implant surgery in a clinical practice setting.
• Comfortable working within flexible scheduling models, including occasional same-day surgical care.
