Department/Unit: Anesthesiology

Hospital Work Shift: Per Diem (United States of America)

Salary Range: $116,823.00 - $186,917.00

Hourly Range: $48.33 - $79.75

Duties

• Accept on‑call duty from home or immediate area using an area‑wide pager. Must be able to reach the hospital within a reasonable amount of time to provide care outside regularly scheduled workdays.
• Assist in maintaining a constant update of administrative procedures, perfusion library, and scientific‑paper library. Conduct product evaluations to remain current with product changes and usage.
• Assist in maintaining accurate bypass records and preparing annual reports.
• Attend lectures, conferences, departmental meetings, and regular meetings with the Chairman of the Dept. of Anesthesiology and the Dept. of Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Attend regional, national, and international conferences related to perfusion; relate information to other perfusionists and others as applicable.
• Lecture on request to interested groups.
• Orient new perfusionists and instruct nurses, medical students, and others in extracorporeal circulation techniques.

Qualifications

• Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
• Minimum of one year experience performing duties related to cardiopulmonary bypass, ECMO, autotransfusion, and related duties.
