Responsibilities

Operates and monitors cardiac perfusion equipment during surgical procedures, including adjusting bypass flow rates, temperature, and perfusate composition to maintain optimal organ function.

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Perfusion Technology or a Bachelor of Science degree with a certificate in Perfusion Technology from an accredited cardiovascular perfusion education program and one year of clinical experience; pediatric experience preferred.
  • Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
