See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:Position Overview :The Performance Validation Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving hot test equipment and processes that support Mercury's Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Productivity objectives. This role applies Lean Manufacturing principles, methodologies, and tools to drive operational excellence, enhance process efficiency, and increase organizational responsiveness. The Performance Validation Engineer evaluates existing systems, identifies improvement opportunities, and leads the implementation of sustainable process enhancements that align with and support overall business strategies and organizational initiatives.At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.Essential Functions:Review production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows and other information to understand the hot testing methods and activitiesEngagement in current production activities, providing troubleshooting support to process and equipment related issues causing downtime and loss of production outputUtilize Lean Manufacturing tools and principles in continuous improvement projects, activities, and everyday tasks in support of business goals related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and ProductionDevelop and maintain process documentationActive participant in Safety and Ergonomic activities in support of providing a safe and healthy working environment for all team membersAssist new product development projects by supporting creation (or update) of efficient hot test systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, and information to validate productDraft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using computer aided drafting softwareCollaborate with customers (both internal and external) and suppliers (both internal and external) to understand and solve pertinent issues within area(s) of responsibilityCompile and execute various reports and audits, in support of ISO requirements and other initiatives within area(s) of responsibilityDevelopment of equipment specifications and Statements of Work, and qualification of processes and equipment prior to deployment for production useAct as a liaison with Current Product Engineering and Manufacturing Program Management team, as required to support Business objectivesProvide coaching and mentoring for peersAct as subject matter expert on specific processes related to hot testDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent Engineering degree)Minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experienceExtensive working knowledge and understanding of diverse manufacturing operationsProficient in lean manufacturing tools and strategies, and process improvement methodologiesStrong proficiency in MS Office applicationsKnowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent 2D drafting software is desiredAbility to read and understand engineering drawings and documentsPreferred Qualifications:Formal Lean Six Sigma Green / Black belt certificationSolid comprehension and listening skillsExcellent analytical and data analysis skills, careful attention to detail and accuracySelf-motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, and capable of working independently within deadlinesAbility to maintain a high level of focus & flexibilityWorking Conditions:Ability to work in an office and indoor industrial environment.The anticipated pay range for this position is $73,600 - $106,200, annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role.
