Performance Validation Engineer - Only W2

Austin, TX - hybrid

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Validation Engineer to support next-generation server and accelerator platforms. This role is focused on hands‑on system-level performance validation, benchmark execution, and deep analysis across hardware, OS, and compiler layers in a Linux environment.

This position requires strong exposure to real hardware platforms, CPU‑centric performance analysis, and industry-standard benchmarking. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly on systems, identifying bottlenecks, and collaborating with cross‑functional engineering teams to improve performance, stability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze performance characteristics of modern server platforms and compute accelerators
  • Develop, maintain, and execute benchmark workloads, configuration files, and automation scripts
  • Execute industry-standard benchmarks with reproducible methodologies across platforms
  • Collect and analyze performance data using CPU counters and Linux performance tools
  • Identify performance bottlenecks related to CPU, memory hierarchy, storage, I/O, and NUMA behavior
  • Collaborate with compiler and OS teams to perform code-level performance analysis and tuning
  • Research architectural trade‑offs and recommend optimization strategies

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Linux-based performance analysis
  • Experience executing performance benchmarks and validation workloads
  • Background in hardware or system-level validation involving CPUs, memory, storage, or accelerators
  • Solid understanding of computer system architecture and memory hierarchy
  • Experience with scripting and automation using C, C++, Python, or Bash
  • Familiarity with compiler toolchains and optimization techniques including GCC, LLVM, OpenMP, LTO, and NUMA affinity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience benchmarking memory technologies such as DDR5, CXL, or HBM
  • Experience with SIMD or vectorization tuning
  • Knowledge of public benchmark rules and result reproducibility
  • Prior experience validating server-class platforms
