A per diem opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist at a rural community health center serving mainly patients over 50 years old. This role is ideal for pharmacists comfortable working in a smaller, close-knit environment, where attention to patient care and operational efficiency are key.
Location: Texhoma, TX
Term of Assignment: July 15th - July 31st
Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
- Friday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
- No weekend hours
- Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Provide patient counseling to ensure safe medication usage
- Oversee and manage pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow
- Utilize the Liberty pharmacy system for daily operations
- Handle an average script volume of 120-130 prescriptions per day
- Active and clear Texas pharmacist license
- Experience in community health or retail pharmacy preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with an older patient demographic
- Capability to manage and support pharmacy staff
