A retail pharmacy associated with a hospital is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for coverage from August 24th to August 28th. This per diem opportunity offers a chance to manage the pharmacy independently, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a supportive environment.
Location: Haxtun, Colorado
Assignment Dates: August 24th - August 28th
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- 1-hour lunch break
- Patient counseling to ensure proper medication use and understanding
- Accurate filling and dispensing of prescriptions
- Performing final verifications on prescriptions
- Managing pharmacy operations as the sole pharmacist on site
- Active and clear Colorado Pharmacist license
- Recent experience as a pharmacist, but new graduates are welcome
- Comfortable operating pharmacy independently with minimal staff support
- Supported by 2 full-time pharmacy technicians
- Occasional presence of a PRN pharmacist but generally working solo
- Handling approximately 500 prescriptions per week
- Onsite hospital housing may be available (subject to availability)
- If onsite housing is unavailable, hotel accommodations will be arranged
