The Per Diem Nursing Administrator is a registered professional nurse with progressive administrative experience, supporting Nurse Managers and senior nursing leadership in managing clinical units and patient care services during assigned shifts.

What You'll Do

• Lead nursing practice using the tenets of the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR) and role model expected behaviors.
• Ensure integration of PHR into clinical activities to enhance Relationship Centered Care.
• Validate staff members round hourly on all patients by direct observation and patient feedback.
• Assess staff competency in PHR and provide consistent meaningful feedback.
• Communicate quantitative and qualitative information regarding patient experience and staff engagement.
• Collaborate with the physician dyad and escalated concerns as appropriate.
• Follow up on all patient concerns in a timely manner and provide service recovery as needed.
• Design, support, and lead a safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient-centered care environment.
• Support implementation of the mission, vision, goals, and objectives of the department.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master's in nursing or healthcare-related field preferred.
• Experience: 3-5 years minimum clinical nursing experience with some Charge Nurse/supervisory experience preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Licensed as a registered nurse with current registration in New York State.
  • BLS via American Heart Association required.
