Minimum Requirements:
- New York State Certified certification in social worker, school counseling, mental health, psychologist, or a similar certification is encouraged preferred
Desired Qualifications:
- Background in social work, school counseling, psychology, or sociology preferred
- Experience
- Must possess the ability to interact effectively with staff, students, and parents
- Must demonstrate professional demeanor
- Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be punctual and dependable.
Position Summary/Responsibilities:
- Support essential building operations during absences for school counselors and social workers.
- Provide crisis support
- Assist with arrival and dismissal routines
- Facilitate lunch bunch groups
- Serve as a second team member during lethality assessments.
- Manage student behavior as needed
- Follow directions given by school administration and/or cooperating Mental Health staff
- Hours vary per building and assignment
