Overview
Responsible for performing routine radiographic exams in either an inpatient and/or outpatient setting in accordance with established protocols for positioning, image quality, and radiation safety. Utilizes a variety of specialized equipment to produce radiographic images, as well as computers and various software programs to enter patient related information into hospital databases. Contributes to the overall excellence of the department through commitment to personal excellence in technical and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Knowledge normally acquired through completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT certification required within twelve months of working in that modality or prior to the ACR re-accreditation date.
- State licensure required (New Jersey).
- Analytical ability to resolve problems using basic specific, mathematical, or technical principles with in-depth experience-based knowledge.
- Ability to explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families.
