Beraja Medical Institute Onsite Ambulatory Surgery Center has a great opportunity for a Per Diem Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. The right candidate provides care for a patient before, during and after a medical procedure or surgery by performing a patient assessment, preparing the patient for anesthesia, administering and maintaining the anesthesia to ensure proper sedation and pain management.

Responsibilities

• Patient recovery from anesthesia and post‑operative care.
• Conduct pre‑operative assessment of surgical patients.
• Develop and implement anesthesia care plan.
• Obtain informed consents for anesthesia and related services.
• Select, obtain, prepare and use equipment, invasive and non‑invasive monitors, supplies, and drugs for administration of sedation, anesthesia, and pain management services; perform safety checks as needed.
• Monitor patient vital signs during procedure and in post‑operative care and act on significant changes or unfavorable conditions.
• Consult with anesthesiologist and take necessary actions.
• Keep surgeon informed of significant changes or events occurring intra‑operatively.
• Provide didactic and clinical education of students and staff.
• Participate in monthly department meetings.
• Report quality assessment findings and quality of care issues to Director of Nursing and Medical Director.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and a current FL CRNA license.
• More than 3 years of solid hands‑on CRNA experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Experience in Ophthalmology preferred but not required.
• Team‑oriented professional.
