Position Summary: As a People Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless People experience and reliable People & Culture operations. This role is a backfill for our long‑term People Ops resource and expands to cover the wider responsibilities of a full‑time specialist. You will manage day‑to‑day administration of core HR systems, processes, and programs, while owning projects that drive efficiency, compliance, and engagement across the People lifecycle. Reporting to the VP, People & Culture, this role is highly visible and offers the opportunity to shape and strengthen Panopto’s people operations as we scale globally.

How You’ll Contribute

  • People Lifecycle Administration – own onboarding and offboarding processes, lead new hire orientation, and coordinate People change‑management activities (role changes, promotions, exits, etc.).
  • Systems Administration & People Data – serve as the primary administrator for HRIS and payroll platforms (TriNet, Deel, and future systems); ensure data integrity through regular audits and reporting; support position management and headcount tracking.
  • Compensation & Benefits Support – own compensation benchmarking research and data maintenance; assist with annual compensation cycles, benefits enrollment, and employment verifications; partner with brokers and vendors to resolve benefit questions.
  • Process & Compliance – maintain compliant employment records across geographies; ensure timely processing of employment verifications and audits; support visa/work authorization tracking as needed.
  • People Programs & Projects – support engagement surveys, manager feedback cycles, and training programs; partner with People & Culture leadership on special projects that advance efficiency, compliance, and People experience; identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve people self‑service.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in HR roles.
  • Strong comprehension of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, relational, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), and other office software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Adaptability and ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments while maintaining commitment to deadlines.
  • Ability to react with appropriate urgency to situations and events requiring quick response or turnaround.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $85,000 USD per year. The position is also eligible for a bonus. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefits programs such as health insurance, flexible spending accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time off.
