People Operations SpecialistLocation: Nashville, TN (hybrid) Reports to: Head of Corp Ops Type: Full-timeThe RoleThis is a hands-on execution role. The People Operations Specialist keeps the day-to-day people engine running cleanly, while also being proactive about identifying inefficiencies and improving processes. You support employees, managers, and leadership by making sure the basics are done right—every time. Build a seamless onboarding experience.

You'll play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, building trust through precision, responsiveness, and consistency.

The systems should support the culture, not replace it.What You OwnEmployee Lifecycle SupportExecute seamless onboarding and offboarding processes end-to-endMaintain compliant, audit-ready employee records, files, and documentation (exs., I-9, payroll, benefits, etc.)Ensure accuracy across HR systems, payroll inputs, and benefits administrationEmployee SupportServe as the first point of contact for employee HR questionsProvide clear, timely answers or route issues appropriatelyHelp employees navigate benefits, policies, and internal processesPeople Operations SystemsSupport and maintain HRIS and people toolsTrack key HR data (headcount, turnover, onboarding status) via our HR platform Rippling.Partners with leadership on audits, compliance initiatives, reporting, and scaling people systemsHiring & Onboarding LogisticsWorking with our ATS (Ashby), internal teams, any external recruiters to facilitate both building a company database of potential hires and keeping the recruiting process running seamlessly.Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communicationsDrafting offer letters and new hire paperworkEnsure new hires are set up and productive on day oneCulture & Process SupportAssist with performance review cycles and feedback collectionHelp operationalize culture initiatives and internal communicationsIdentify process gaps and propose improvementsWhat You Bring2–4 years of experience in HR, people operations, or a related operations roleMust have experience with ATS systems (ideally ashby) and employee management systems (ideally rippling)Must understand and execute all state level labor requirementsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailComfort handling confidential informationClear written and verbal communicationAbility to manage multiple tasks without losing precisionStartup or high-growth environment experience is a must.How You WorkDetail-oriented and dependableResponsive and service-mindedOrganized, methodical, and consistentComfortable learning new systems and processesLow ego, high accountabilityCompensationThe base salary range for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant skills, experience, and geographic location.
